Hope someone can help me here see if i modify my firmware (flashed) so i can play backups, will it be ok to still go on live with original games? I wont play on live with backups so will i be ok? and what about dashboard updates will i be ok getting that? Any replies appreciated cheers
oh and forgot to add see the firmware version do i have to get newest update all the time or will latest just now do then leave it?
playing on live is always a risk if you have flashed firmware, whether you're playing back ups or not. Its a risk you have to decide if you're willling to take. I have been playing back ups on live for over a year now and so far so good (for me, people have been banned) it is always advisable to keep up to date with the newest firmware as there are always little tweaks made that improve it and try to stop it from being detected.
cheers for replying and am not bothered about live and willing to never go on it at all but what about game updates or dashboard updates should i just reject them?
game updates are fine, most are bug fixes that the devs have addressed. still not banned using Xtreme 5.3, but to be safe/safer you should update to the latest FW. I think its iXtreme 1.2
