bought a dreambox 500c, followed instructions and nothing. Cant get any channels. A friend said need firmware?? What is this? where do I get it from? how do I connect dreambox to computer? I have optus cable package in australia
Dont know anything about Australian cabe mate, but to get a dreambox working you will need a 'cables.xml' file for your area, which basically tells box which freqs To scan and you will need Rom files that have been taken from an 'opened' viewing card from your cable supplier!
first thing have you checked that the cable encyrption coming in uses nagra and not nds like foxtel. You might get a little more info at a forum down in oz. Try sats-general.com kegnkiwi
