hi , i just bought a new lite on 20 x dvd burner sata , it shows up as a - atapi ihas 120 6 - ( shows this in imgburn) i wonder why it does not show as a lite on burner instead of atapi , i am wanting to upgrade the firmware from current 7lo4 to new 7loe but when i go to lite on to download the new firmware it won't install it and says to contact vendor . why can't i uograde the firmware , or is this not a lite on drive maybe a rebadge , i don't know if this is oem or retail . i have all the numbers it show's the model on the box as - i has120-08 6
thought id bump this thread instead of making a new one, i recently bought this burner (liteon ihas120-06) from a friend and it works great but when i burn with imgburn the highest rate i can go is 16x with verbatims dvd+r (mcc-004) and ridata dvd+r (ritek-f16?). now with my old samsung drive (i forget the exact model) i could burn the same verbatims at 18X, never tried the ridatas though. originaly the drive hadd 7l0e firmware and i upgraded it to 7l0f to see if that would help. anyways just curious since this is supposed to be a 20x drive what the problem is, i mean verbatim should be good enough to burn at max speeds right?
