I have just bought a starview 3 super box. I have followed all your instructions. I have managed to download the firmware onto my pc but it's the next step I can't get passed.
Your instructions say click the bin and make sure the app file is ticked aswell. The only thing is it won't let me click the bin button as it is not highlighted so I am unable to seach for the firmware that I have downloaded onto my pc. Please Help?

Sounds like you`re using the GTRom loader, you dont need the GTRom for the SV3. The firmware for the SV3 is a unified firmware/loader.

You`ll need to unzip them, download winrar & you can open them with this. The 7.09 is for Ireland & the 8.00 is for the uk. Open the one for your country.

Double click on winrar & you`ll see a list of whats on your desktop.
Click on the GTRom Super 8.00 & select "Extract To" at the top. Choose Desktop & you can then open the file. When you do this , come back if you`ve any problems flashing the firmware onto the b0x. :)

    Dont mind the bin file,
Are you using a Null Modem cable & is your system Windows XP or Vista?

Ok, unplug the b0x from the TV. Put the b0x on standby & connect the null modem to the pc & box. Open the GTrom. FILE TYPE should be application file only. Click on download, it should start downloading & wait until a b0x pops up saying "Download Complete"

I downloaded the firmware from the chatterbox toolbar could that maybe be the problem that the software is faulty. If so is there another link that i can get firmware from.

Have a look at eamos library under my sig & go to "The B0x Super" folder & download the 8.00 from there. Delete the other one from your desktop first.

Leah, i have to head out for an hour or so. Click on the second link under my sig & have a read through celtics guide. Make sure you have a null modem cable & not an RS232 cable, as they both look the same.
Best of luck with it :)
