I have a Sony DRU-810A and Benq 1650-each on seperate channels as master. If I flash firmware on Sony from 1.0d to 1.0e do I have to unhook the Benq since the Sony is a rebadged Benq? Thanks

I thought sony 710a was - lite-on 1633s and sony 810a was -benq 1640. That was why I questioned on flashing. Wouldn't want it to effect the benq with a different firmware.

you could be right, i had the Sony DRU-700A which was rebadged
    Lite-On
Didn't know they had changed who's product they were ripping off, LOL
Most flashes are only good for one specific drive though.
I checked and you are correct it is a BenQ

to tell you the truth if you are not having any problems i would just leave well enough alone. I only did it when i had media compatibility issues. other than that i stick to the old theory
"if it ain't broke...don't fix it"
