Hi there ! I want to buy a psp and I try to read a lot about it before making any moves. I red that the PSP 1.50 looks like to be the best version. But, if I don't buy one of this version, will I be able to play backup games, to use homebrew applications and to enjoy my PSP with all its features ? Thanks a lot. I'm still confused even if I red the tutorials. I don't understand how to use the emulators and this thing called "devhook". So, guys, thank you for you help !

if your psp doesn't have firmware 1.5,and it probably won't , you can downgrade the firmware of your psp

its only possible at the moment to downgrade from firmware 3.03 or lower, you can't downgrade from firmware 3.10 or 3.11
to downgrade you need to know which motherboard you have, some downgraders support all motherboards others don't,if you buy a pink psp the motherboard will be a ta-086

device hook is a emulator that load isos from the memory stick,,but with device hook you can only play psp games

it is also possible to install device hook with a psp firmware 2.71

but to have the all features of the psp forget device hook, you will need dark alex custom firmware ,you will need to have a psp with firmware 1.5 to install this custom firmware
