Firmware update for Sony DRU800A

I have noticed that Sony have version KY04 on their website for download. My machine has the original KY01.
Is it worth it to upgrade? Are there any known issues with the upgrade?

I have no idea if there are any issues, but you should update the firmware for your burner.

 

Your Sony DRU 800A is more than likely a rebadged LiteOn SOHW 1693S. There is a ton of different firmware and mod options for this drive. It depends on what media you use as to which is best. For example, I only use Yuden000 T02, and the KSOA firmware yields excellent results!!! There is plenty of info on firmware to be found here:
