I need to update my firmware for my LG CD-RW. Every link I've found goes to LG's service site but the link is broken. Is there somewhere else I can download this update??

I get the same deal. I click on the link and I get this:
Save_as function is not temporarily supported.
Please just click & open the file. Then, save the file in your PDF reader.
Save_as function will be supported once again ASAP.

What the full make and model? I'll see if I can dig something else up.

I think you may be sol on the firmware version 1.04. I tried 6 sites and all failed. May be because the last update was from 11/03 and it's no longer being hosted. Are you having a problem burning?

Yes, I guess I'll just buy another drive. Not only am I having trouble burning but when I load data disks with jpegs the image is distorted, but fine when I put them in my dvd rom drive. Anyway, thank you very much for helping me.

You're welcome! Drives are so cheap now- even the dvd/cd burners- might as well replace it.
