what I dont get is you posted a thread asking how do you play backups, then you come in this one and give some sort of rambling directions to play ps2 backups... A period would be nice every now and then

For some reason I doubt his method works. Seems too easy. I can't test it, because I don't have the gameshark disc.

He has no idea what the hell he's talking about, and his English skills... well they dont exist.
I think somewhere in there he basically said that you use GS like a bootdisk and swap it out for the backup, but that of course means opening the console and voiding warranty. That is so far the only way to load any form of (ps2)backup (not necessarily using GS) on the ps3.

Every theory sounds good, but actually applying it,ha..... If thats the case then PS2 could have had the same thing done to it... Backing the boot disc up to the HDD and loading it from there, but ...its not that easy... Those disc are not only embedded with the data to run the games, but are PRESSES with a type of error that the ps2 and PS3 reconizes to be the legit disc.... All backing up the disc does, is back up the data, not the physical Press....... But I am sure everyone, except Zamil knew that already... but please dont make false claims of something working unless you have completely tested it, every way possible, then speak and let us know.... Cause I tried this little method, and it doesnt work....The PS3 didnt reconize the "load screen" you speak of... Ok... Im done...

It almost sounds like a cog swap. Which you would need to open the ps3 to do. It's just an alternative if you don't have sm and have gs.

Well from ps3news they said don't update to 1.7 until the GODS have examined it. Pff another reason not to play your ps3. I havent touched mine for a month.

GODS this and GODS that. I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting seriously tired of them and their arrogant attitude. Not to mention the whole bunch seem extremely immature. Is there actually nobody else capable of hacking the PS3? I swear that if I had the knowledge (aka was about 5 years older with some hacking skills under my belt), I would spend hours and hours to figure out a way to hack and THEN I would share it (anonymously, of course...well maybe I'd come up with some sort of hacking pseudonym...i like smeagol.) But unfortunately, I can't do it. I know there are people out there who can, besides PDX.

There are people out there, they just won't do it for free. someone should seroiusly make a website where we can all donate some money towards a cash prize for the one who hacks the ps3.

I think many people are really trying. Everything is hacked sooner or later. It's just that PS3 could be a bit harder to hack.

Ahhh.. wait I have a question for someone.... being that the PS3 can now play these PSone download games... I wonder if maybe we can find away to exploit that and upload via pc,usb,HDD or etc... and play them... Maybe SOny just screwed their selves by adding that ability......

after reading this forum for awhile I think its time to make my post. I live in LAs Vegas and just won $10,000 at the bellagio hotel and casino. I am willing to put $5000 of that in CASH, to anyone who can provide me a way of playing backups on the ps3 (being PS2 without opening the system or PS3) I can provide any proof you need.

LOL..theyll ban you..LOL... the ban my ip everytime I say anything about exploits on PS3... Its almost like someone from Paradox has something to do with that forum... My last ban was because, one of the mods posted the news on 1.71 and playing downloaded psone games on ps3...I replied that maybe there could be an exploit from that.... Then the reply was deleted and I was banned.. since then I have changed my IP and got back on, just to monitor......Oh not before their server suddenly was overloaded......hmmmmmm
