First PS3 backup info released

A little off topic but incase I get banned from there to. How do you change your ip address? Is it covering over ur given ip from ur isp? Or giving you a whole new one?

 

I use mac cloning built into my router.. I enable it, the power down my modem and router.... start it back up, repair my ip, bam , new IP....
I read somewhere you can only do it once, but Ive done it 4 times, and everytime I get a new IP....

 

Just curious.. Has anyone heard ANYthing from Paradox lately????

 

I have a theory for PS2 backups,but still it would take a bunch of time to even produce it.The problem is the format of the PS3 harddrive,and the current formats FAT32 and Ext2/3 are not gonna get you anywhere.The drive has to be NTFS in order to get any game to work,the format of the drive is holding everybody up.If you can format the PS3 harddrive to NTFS the problem would be solved.You could develop an HDLoader that recognizes SATA harddrives(which means a PS2 HDLoader would work,not to mention a PS3 loader maybe if Sony releases some open source to the public),and it would prevent corrupt data and size restriction levels.The encryption is very secure on the harddrive of the PS3,and it hasn't been cracked yet only analyzed.

 

Was the 40gb FFXI hdd ever cracked? That had some tough security.

 

I dont think it ever was, or if it was it was never widely known in most hacker/modding community's. I believe someone found a way to get games like Socom etc to download (online) files like new maps to a non Sony HDD but thats about it.
I wish paradox would at least release some updates on their current progress, or maybe even everything they have so far discovered so that other talented people can help the project. I would even settle for some proof-of-concept right now.

As to changing your IP just use an online proxy or something similar, dont bother with ps3news.com though they're a complete waste of time, ive been banned twice within 2 days of registering and on the first account i hadnt even posted anything.

Nothing useful there anyway,specially since it seems "paradox" is part of the mods, and they lock out all the actual Development chat... I was banned several times, once because I asked was Paradox part of their staff.........go figure

Finally somethings getting released. Paradox are all shit they probably run ps3news.com stealing every bit of progress people have made in the forum, hoping to piece together a loader. I always new they wouldn't be the first on the scene they talked to much crap. Having said that maybe now that they have competition they will release at least an NTSC console loader to claim first.

Maybe we shouldn't be so harsh to Paradox. We don't know what exactly happened there with their loader. In the end, even if they tried and failed, I give them credit for that, they do what they do for free and for the benefit of us all. We should all love and respect eachother As for Ferrox, it may be another hoax for all we know. Maybe someone else wrote that quote above just for fun. I'll just wait silently for 12th of May not expecting anything (yeah, right .

 

I don't respect Paradox,because they brought a dev into the picture when it was unecessary and said they didn't need his help(Dark Alex).The problem is they are too stuborn to accept help from someone that is respected and is willing to help them out.The way they treated the issue was immature,and they lost my respect the way they handled it.If they have everything sorted out already like they mentioned then why would they turn down someone as skilled as Dark Alex,something to bring up.The fact is they don't have an Iso Loader,and they are not going to release one either.They said they would release it after the Europe launch,but why would the Europe launch affect USA users?I can come up with tons of reasons why they are fake,and I can't find one reliable thing that says they have an Iso Loader besides gossip on sites.I still haven't seen any info supplied explaining how it works in anyway,and we probably never will.Paradox is making up BS,and they already know everybody will listen to them so they spread it around to get attention.

 

Will I finally be able to play my ps3? I haven't been playing since I am studying for sats. But after the 5th it's no worry from there. Will this be good timing, and I can finally get back into playing? Maybe this is a trick so pdx we'll release theirs? I hope this is real.
