i ve often bought movies off the road with 5 or sometimes 6 mvies on them.These are full length movies with absolute clarity.Now using the divx-vob converting guides in the forums,a 700 mb movie gets converted to almost a 3 gig vob file!!!!!so how does that work...fit 5 movies on 4.7 b dvdr..???
Burn them in an AVI format OR DivX to get 6 full movies on a disc. At the most, you can get 4 trimmed down movies on a 4.38GB DVD in a VOB format. To have decent quality try the following - For 2 Discs on 1 use DVD2One in the "Join" mode. The join mode is a very powerful new feature of DVD2one. It can be used for many things: Joining a movie that has been spread over 2 sides of a disk (aka "flipper") or even over 3 disks. Joining of different episodes of a (TV) series on 1 disk. The join mode is not limited to only 2 titles, but it can join any number of titles on 1 disk. Of course the total size of the titles you want to join has its limits. The separate titles are joined in 1 titleset, and will play continuously without interruption. Non-seamless. well i have a questions about your prob. you can fit 4 or sometimes 5 movies on a standerd 4.7 disc in xivd and similar formats. but what were you playing these discs on. i know most dvd players read a standerd mpeg2 codec and it is "almost" impossible to fit 5 mpeg 2 movies on one disc. but if you use divxtodvd to encode the movies to mpeg2 vobs you can use dvdshrink to compress the files down as low as you like. me i have put 2 movies on one disc using this format. you can compress the as much as you like but any thing under 2 gig range you will see a drop in video quality..
