The video file i'm using goes out of sync about half way through it. I've followed a tutorial for virtualdub to fix the audio using the interlacing thingy but afterwards the 1st half goes out of sync.

How do i only fix the second half?

Use Virtualdub to create 2 videos out of the movie you have.
The first section is with the audio in sync, and he second is the rest,
    the out-of-sync part.

Then use virtualdub just on the 2nd piece to delay/advance the
    audio as needed.
