So I did something stupid with my 'box, and I don't know what... Whatever I did made it stop working... It boots once for less than a second, another time for about a second, and then a third time, where the "green circle" flashes red and green... Anybody know what I did wrong and how to fix it?
what exactly did you do...this is a frag error on the motherboard did u try to install a modchip...?/
I modded my xbox w/ splinter cell and got unleash x. I messed around and messed up, getting an error 5. Should I get a.r. and reinstall the softmod, and if so how is that done. Also, I heard that there are better dashboards than unleash x that let you do more stuff. What are they, and how can I get the internet surfing program linksbos onto my xbox. I dont have a router, I hook up my xbox straight to my cable modem, and I would like to download several things onto my xbox; what are the possible ways of downloading things to your xbox without a router, things such as games, emultors, xbmc, programs and stuff. Please reply.
Yeah, I also want to know how to put windows media player videos from your computer onto your xbox. Note- I dont have a router, like I said above, I connect my xbox through the cable modem, straight from the wall.
well error 5 means your xbox is unlocked you need to lock it back.....to put things on your modded xbox with no ftp the best bet would be to burn them and copy them to your xbox....unleash x is in my opinion the best dashboard lots of skins and most stable, xbmc is what u need to play videos on your xbox just search torrent sites for it...
so how do you burn them, to a reguglar cd, then your xbox will recognize the cd or what, can you use a.r.
Error 5.. go and buy a chip, unless you can get the eeprom data off the hdd. Sc-ndure should have made an eeprom.bin file in the backups folder on the xbox drive. You need to get a program called XBOXHDM and read the instructions about rebuilding a drive, and then locking it with the eeprom data. No need to hotswap because it isn't locked. theridges will get you sorted out. No worries.
Personally..yes because thats what I use all the time. The availability of the extra bios banks is a real plus Heres a link to some good installing tutorials, and a heap of other resources too. I don't think they have the x3 in stock at the moment but there are lots of chip sellers all over the world. There is even a solderless adapter so no soldering required. That's a plus too. http://www.llamma.com/xbox/Mods/xbox_mods.htm There are other guides there that may help you get up and running in the meantime too. Don't forget to check out the main page. Theres a version identifier so you can find out what your box is before you start. If it's a 1.6 it makes a difference. Pleased to help.
