I've tried (too late!) to backup a copy of Angelina Ballerina for my niece. Presumably a scratch on the disc caused errors when I tried to rip the last two title sets, so I just ignored the error thinking that I could just burn the rest of the disc and it didn't matter if some of the extras were missing. Unfortunately, Record Now DX is picky about burning incomplete discs.

How do I correct this problem?

By 'too late', I trust you mean you no longer have the original dvd. In that case, you may first try DVD Shrink (both full disc mode and reauthor mode) to see if you have better luck. DVD Fab is another good alternative, but it's not free.

    Good luck!

lol. By "too late" I mean my niece already had time to scratch the original disk before i got to back it up, hence not all the title sets could be ripped.

    @ St_Bambi,
Try cleaning and polishing out the scratch using Toothpaste.
Rub lightly in the circle of the disc, that is in the direction of the burn. Don’t go across the disc.

Then set up DVDDecrypter for an Aggressive mode as follows and give it a try.

In DVDDecrypter go to: Tools -> Settings ->
    Try these settings for

    General Tab
Options – Removal Method – Aggressive

    File Mode Tab
Options – Remove PUOs (IFO and VOB)

    ISO Read Mode Tab
Options – Remove PUOs (IFO and VOB)

    CSS Tab
    CSS Cracking Method
Brute Force -> I/O Key Exchange
    On Failure – Yes

    I/O Tab
    Options – Ignore read errors

Sometimes you can swap your disc between a burner and a ROM reader to see if one will work better..

    Luck…
