I have sound but no picture on my xbox. I have tried switching cords and taking it apart and everything. The only thing that worked so far is wrapping it in a towel and letting it overheat(which i know isnt good) and that only lasted a week. Is there a permanent fix to this problem yet? I have no warranty anymore.
Yes there is, but it would need to be reflowed. You can try the xclamp fix but that is only a temporary fix. I fixed an xbox 360 last night that had sound but no video with wooly's heat gun method. Follow his guide to a tee and you will have your xbox running in no time. Lots of guys on here reflow so im sure someone will do it for a very good price, or just get the heat gun for 20-30 bucks and you can do it yourself. Hope this helps.
Alright im just gonna do this myself but i have one question. Do i put washers on the bottom of the motherboard and the top when i put the screws in? One tutorial said i will need 16 of each nylon and metal so do i do 2 on top 2 on bottom or all 4 on top or what?
