hi all i am going to flash my xbox 360 and before i go and buy the stuff to do it need to know a couple of things .can all abox360 be flashed and if you brick it can it be reversed or will it be nackered for good .and also what are the chances of it getting bricked . also is there anyone in nort east of england who can chipp my xbox360 ? or can flash it? tia
i do believe all 360 drives can be modded. the "hardest" is the new hitachi 79fl drives. it requires soldering some chip in order to read the drive key. in terms of bricking...if you read read read before you flash and you follow the directions/tutorials step-by-step, you should be fine. with that said, nothing is guaranteed and you may brick your drive. if that happens, and you have the drive key, you could always buy a new drive on ebay and replace. if you don't have the drive key and brick it, you either have to find someone who is an expert on this stuff, or buy another 360. goodluck.
to get the drive key, you'll need to first open your 360 (tutorials on youtube) and figure out which dvd drive you have. based on that, there are other tutorials (do a search for "textbook" .pdf tutorial) on how to read your drive key and do the flash. reading the drive key should not brick your drive at all.
