a friend of mine has flashed an original starview 1 with CryptStar-v1.4-Core257.bin.I have told him to do a factory reset and flash it again with cryptstar-v1.4-core400.bin. He has done this but when he puts it onto sky sports it says data updating until 200% and then goes back to zero and keeps repeating the process. Is his box no good now or is there something I can tell him to do to fix it. Thanks

go to "set default key" press OK
exit to s*y sports & let it update.

that is already done. I have his box and I left it on sky sports all nite and it didnt update. It goes to 200% and the back to zero and just keeps doing this. The system info is api ver 400e_E boot ver 7.0 7 june 2007. I have manually put in the codes and its working fine now. Any idea why it is not updating?

reflash it with the Crypstar-v1.4-genuine only bin file.
make sure the b0x is on standby, & diconnected from the TV when flashing.

I have re flashed it and then manually put the codes in. I then went into 1570 and changed the codes so it wouldnt work and went back to sky sports and it updated itself after a min or so. So I think all is working fine now i hope. thanks for your help.

at least its working now but think its best to have the box up and running with the latest codes before you flash it cos you get a better result
