    Hello,

My NEC ND-3530A wasn't burning properly so I decided to flash to version 3.1 without dumping the original file, it was fine. Then I decided to flash to 3.23, I restarted and my dvd drive made a clicking noise, I realised I flashed the wrong firmware.

I'm trying to flash back to 3.1 but it keeps telling me error entering safe mode, error flashing firmware. What do I do?

The 2 Programs are interfering with each other..'cos they almost are shering the same files inside your NEC, to make them work.

Turn Off one of them when you are using the other, Uninstal one of them or do System Restore.

    Good luck.

If you are in the Point where your OP (Operations System) is telling you to Open on "Safe Mode"......just Choose it and Open your PC on Safe Mode.

I've tried it on safe mode, still doesn't work.

Mrguss, what are the 2 programs?

Where Did you get that Firmware update?

When I looked up Your Drive I Came up With This:

    http://www.firmwarehq.com/NEC/ND-3530A/files.html

You Could try toUse this Update, But If your Drive is From 2005 I Would just Replace It, Because it's Never a Good Thing When a Drive Makes a Clicking Sound.
