I know some of you will probably laugh but here goes:

I ordered the "lite" version probe with ck3 connectivity kit..

Just doing what I hope is the finishing touches on learning how to flash this drive..

A few years back when i researched flashing a benQ i remember the importance of having the 360 powered via its power cable in addition to having the video cable attached to the the 360 and TV..

    My questions are:

    1. Do I do the entire flashing of this drive while it is completely removed and
from the xbox 360 console thus obviously causing no need to attach the 360's video cables to it as well as the power cable because the connectivity kit provides it own power to the lite-on drive??

    thank you..

If you have a connectivity kit, you won't even need your 360 around. The connectivity kit provides the power to the drive.

My appologies here another noob question..

I open 1.6 ixtreme repack using RAR.. It obviously created a folder in it I have 3 files:

    "iso" image file

another I renamed to ix-16-liteon.bin (per your instructions)

    ix 16 text document

I know that your tutorial says to install the repack in the jungle flasher firmware folder folder..

My question is (and it may not matter and be stupid but humor me please), do I install these three files in the jungeflasher firmware folder individually or can i just leave them in the 1.6 ixtreme repack folder that was created in using RAR and just dump that whole folder and its contents into jungleflashers firmware folder?

And if you would, since i ordered the "Lite version" of the probe would you know if it comes with any necessary divers for my pc so that the probe and it can communicate via the DB-9 serial port on the back of my computer or if there might be any tricks i may need to know to get the two communicating?

also, all of the videos i have watched online about this show flashing using the usb probe and choosing the correct port in jungleflasher so that the probe will communicate with the PC.. Since I am using again the db-9 probe is it much different in jungle flasher to find the correct port my probe is using or is it pretty much straight forward in the drop down menu of this application..??

You only need the ix16-liteon.bin in the firmware folder inside of the Jungle Flasher folder. The ISO is the activate ISO and you won't be doing anything with it.

Using serial (db-9) does not require any type of drivers. Using a serial connection will usually be COM1.
