Just asking.. sometimes it will give you a clue what the problem is..

With the 1.1 you have a get out of jail free procedure.. it has 4 bios banks.. tizz wrote a guide on llamma.com about it :)

Well ok , here is some info on this box . Relevant or not . It has 4817 bios on the tsop . From what i have found that is a 256k bios . correct ? So i am assuming that its 256k x 4 on the tsop . Correct ? If i flash the whole 1mb tsop with X2 4981.67 1mb would i be able to still later on (when i can afford a switch) be able to reflash it again with the X2 4981.67 512k and the 4817 256k x2 ? Or am i just confusing you ? Im very interested in splitting it in 2 . I just want to know that when the time comes i will be able to do the forementioned flash . If i am wrong then please by all means correct me . Thanks .

4 banks.. will only boot one or the other... flashing (or attempting to) with a larger that 256 bios will probably break it for good..

Not my thing.. never flashed a tsop.. never been brave enough. Everybody says leave well alone unless you are 100% sure what you are doing.. and I wasn't so I never tried.

I have flashed other xboxes that had 256k tsops with success . My question is what am i doing wrong with this one ? Im still scratching my head . I would just like to know that i have the write points enabled for when i get a switch . Like i stated above i followed that tutorial with no success . I was told about undoing the top point and soldering wires to eachother . But i didnt understand what was explained . You seem like you can explain it to me . I thank you varnull for your help and support .

Your man is Tizz80 on llamma.com .. A quick search over there should reveal the info you need about the write_enable points. I know the 1.3 hynix tsop is flashable, but I'm not sure about the 1.1 :)
