Hi all, can anyone tell me wether you can flash a digivox from a laptop or does it have to be flashed by a pc computer' i.e a tower computer' reason i ask is because on my laptop i do not have a rs232 connection. can anyone help me please???? i tried it using a usb to rs232 cable but it didnt work, is it a faukty cable or am i wasting my time?????
If you dont have a com port (RS232 ) on your laptop, then you will need to buy a USB - Serial adapter, you can get from maplins or fleebay. I use one on my laptop, it is a tad slower than using a direct comm port but it does the job
