Flashing DVD drive firmware to play backups like on 360???

    Thats a pretty popular method for playing backups on the 360 and i'm wondering why it hasn't become popular for the original Xbox?

    I've did a short google search and it seems like some people were able to to do this but there's no real good solid information that i've found...yet (Short search)

    Whats the deal?

    There is a firmware Flash made for the Xbox 1.. and its made by the same person that cracked the 360
