yo, this message might seem repetitive but it isnt. i searched through th archives and i could not find anything like this. i recieved a "broken" xbox from my cousin.(its not modded) it boots up to th correct screen, but th tray doesnt open up and the eject button is flashing green. WATS GOIN ON? is there something not hooked in right? would just switcing in a new dvd drive work? PLZ HELP! BRETTSKY
If it boots up through the start up animation and gets to the menu then it should be an easy fix. Might just need a new DVD drive. Can you hear the DVD drive spin up when the XBox is owered on? Also there should be a small hole in the front of the DVD drive that you can stick a paper clip in to see if the tray will eject. RustyDog
i do hear a sound when i turn it on. th thing is that th sound is much louder than my normally workin xbox. i dont kno how i should test it b/c my cousin said a game he put in cracked in th xbox and i am afraid of breakin my games.
Probably the best thing to do then is remove the DVD drive and take it apart to see if any of the games disc is still stuck inside it. RustyDog
Hmm, been browsing trough to find if my problem relates to this. My xbox is modded though, with Executer 2pro chip. My eject button flashes for about 3 minutes untill it opens the tray, also the xbox doesn't boot to any dash when I press the power on button, instead I need to press the eject button and then it takes the 3 minutes for the tray to come out. Here's a clearer summary of my COMPLETE problem: Problem 1: Doesn't boot to MS dash when modchip (x2 pro) is bypassed. Nothing happens after Xbox logo animation unless I press the eject button, that's when I get error 13. Problem 2: EvoX Dash works when I use the modchip, but it doesn't boot to it automatically when I press power on. I need to press eject button and then it boots into EvoX BUT the eject button keeps flashing for about 3 minutes and only THEN is the DVD tray ejected. Info: Modchip = Executer 2pro bios: X2_4977.bin (256k version) Dash: EvoX Dash build 3752 (also tried newest one!) Cheers, bManic
