I've put the latest bios on the 1st slot in the Qoob Pro using the usb linkup, but now every time to load one of my backups I need to hold down the button to "launch" the new bios. How do I have it default to my new bios? Thanks
What? You shouldn't have to do that >_>;; It should load automatically... You sure you deleted the old bios and put the new one in its place?
Actually, I was unable to do that. Is there a better flasher than the one on qoobchip.com? I can't modify the "BIOS" slot at all... only Slot 1 -> Slot 15. Thanks
You need to delete the original bios first, then when that slot is empty, flash it with the new bios. You might want to back up the original bios before deleting it, just in case.
I've tried that, but unfortunately the 'BIOS' part is still greyed out when I hit WRITE.. and if I 'disconnect' it warns how it cannot be booted since no bios is on it.
Sounds like you didn't really delete it. If you delete it properly it should say 'free' or whatever it says in the rest of the empty slots. I forgot the procedure for erasing blocks but you either have to select the block you want to erase then click the 'ERASE' (might be DELETE) button, or you click the ERASE (or DELETE) button then select the block you want to erase. Either way if its successful it shouldn't say BIOS in that block.
The part that tells you what is in each block doesn't say Bios. It's blank. The block itself is labeled 'Bios'. (the first block in the top-left of the screen). It's odd... I found a workaround, but I don't think it's safe. I'd like to figure out the real reason it won't do it.. hmmm
I found my problem. The software I downloaded from the Qoob site was old (1.0)... I found a newer one on ModThatCube and now I can flash just fine
