I have a modded xbox which works fine and is connected to my pc. I have flash fxp and all is working correctly. but im getting a friends xbox soon which has had a mod chip fitted, but he is having problems flashing his chip. He has the software on disk but wants me to do it as i have a connection up and running to my pc.

Is it just a matter of plugging his xbox into my pc and putting the disk into my pc and then flash the chip?

Will my pc establish connection straight away to his xbox as it does to mine?

Or does the disk need to go into the xbox?

Can you write a quick step by step guide!!!!!!

What type of chip is it? You should just be able to do it directly from the xbox disc drive.

YES it will IF you are using a router and your xbox is set to DHCP.
It won't work if you're using a crossover cable for the connection because you will have to configure it w/ a static IP so it can talk to your PC.

It could work that way as well

My xbox is already linked to my pc, and are sharing ip addresses. So will i just be able to link the other xbox to my pc for it to work.
