flightplan - what worked for me

dvd fab (latest version) + recode worked for me. anydvd + recode and dvdd (iso mode)+ anydvd + shrink both gave me "out of memory" errors at 45% encoding.

 

shrink and dvd region+cssfree running in the backround is all it took to do the latest release the fog,zorro,flightplan make sure that you up date your dvd region+cssfree and you won't have any problems at all

yes it does BUT anydvd is still your best choice

I used DVDFab, than VobBlocker to blank out the bad cells (VTS_03_*.VOB, PGC#s 02 & 03). Hit "process" and then used DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter. It worked like a charm.

 

yea, fabdvd and shrink worked for me, I always try shrink alone, then vobblanker, then decrypter, then dvdfab, one of those has always worked so far. No need to pay for anydvd.

 

FlightPlan using DVDDecrypter then via PGCEdit (with PluginWizard and FIX plugin) rendered a Video folder that ended up making 3 coasters.......I was just about ready to try ANYDVD on a trial basis and decided to use DVDFAB Decrypter and Whala....a folder that worked using Nero Recode 2. As to ANYDVD, the praises I hear has me edging in that direction more and more. I still don't know if my understanding is correct that if: I put the original dvd into my DVD ROM Drive if (with ANYDVD working in the background) if I could then using Nero 6 burn a copy using either Nero Burning Rom; Nero Express "copy entire disc"; or Nero Recode "using fit to target" {if perhaps original disc capacity is >4.4 GB}. Anyone have an answer to which if any would apply?

 

Anydvd makes the DVD appear as if it were not encrypted/copy protected, so what this means is that you can make a backup of your DVD using what ever software you want (ie. nero, roxio, shrink, decrypter etc...).

I used anydvd 5.8.3.1 running in the background then tried DVD shrink 3.2 and got the out of memory error. Any ideas?

 

Just got this movie today and will try CloneDVD2 with AnyDVD running in the background. Shouldn't have any problems unless the disc itself is bad...

 

I noticed that in shrink, if you preview the main movie, there is like some sort of hickup that kinda freezes the movie. It is about 5 seconds in just before the globe looking logo appears on the screen. I used Shrink to start the movie just after the logo. At the time, I thought is this a disk scratch or is this some sort of deterant. My guess now is deterant.

So, start after the globe logo and see if you get the out of mem problem.

Be sure you have 3.2.1.5

 

O.k. I have been trying this for a few days now. Having problems with...like you said Flightplan and The Fog. If one of you who have successfully done so using DVDDecryptor, DVD Shrink, and AnyDVD it would be greatly appreciated if you would go through the step by step process. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would thank you for this....rammstein.

just made a backup of flight plan, and all works fine using the s/w you just listed.

anyDVD running in background. DVD Decrypter to HD (full disc)in iso mode. I load the iso with virtual drive, and use shrink to copy "movie only". I just played it, and it played fine. No problems. The way I do it is extra steps I know, but I keep the iso of the full on my HD and convert the "movie only" to Xvid. I am just letting you know it worked.

 

Just did Flightplan with AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 with no problems. People, make the investment in these programs and save yourself headaches and extra steps!!!

help w flightplan on dvd decrypter or dvd shrink--shrink will NOT read the movie files; decrypter i can use, but am not sure what files to choose, and then when i burned with nero, twice, the dvd was filled but would not play. also, anyway to compress with dvd decrypter? or to burn 1/2 the film ata time WITHOUT leaving out files that will be needed for the film to play? i get the notion i may not be downloading all i need on the disc with decrypter, or else that nero doesnt burn right with the decrypter files i'm downloading, OR i'm not sure what IFO and BUP files are and how to choose the correct ones on decrypter. but PLEASE, answers in simple easy-to-follow enlgish steps without lingo, PLEASE.
