Ok this is complicated but I'm stuck. I'm ripping dvd's to flv format with ultra dvd to flv. It uses the ac3filter to play the audio. No choice in the audio codec. So i have all these flv files with their audio encoded with ac3filter, so if i download ac3filter they work fine witha program like vlc. I'd like it to work in wmp. So I know things like ffdshow, k-lite are supposed to allow this to happen as they have ac3, well nope. I've search forum after forum and no one seems to have the same problem. Anyone have a solution or know a program that I can convert my flv with ac3 to an flv with mp3 without loss in video quality?
I was under the impression that .flv files used .mp3 audio. If you drag one of the files onto GSpot, it shows the audio as being ac3? http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/gspot.cfm Assuming the audio is ac3, you might try opening/dragging the file onto AviDemux and convert the audio to mp3. Click on the 'Save' logo and give the file a new name including extension (newfile.flv). http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/avidemux.cfm
