I was just prepping up my dad's laptop to take on holiday with us, when I noticed that there are no folder options under tools. So I choose to dislpay an icon for folder options next to the back and forward icons. When I click on them it still wont appear. Could someone please tell me how I can view folder options Thanks
Unless some weird home version of xp takes away folder options the only reason I can think of as to why this would be happening is that a group policy setting is configured, there is one such policy that removes the folder options from the tools menu. Could the user you log in as have some group policy settings configured for them? To check that, go to start>run, type gpedit.msc expand: user configuration > administrative templates > windows components > windows explorer Here you should see a policy called "Removes the Folder Options menu..." Double click it and check if it's enabled, if it is change it to "Not configured". Restart pc and check.
I typed this into the run box,but an error came up saying Windows cannot find 'gpedit.msc'. Make sure you typed the name correctly and try again. To search for a file...... Could you tell me what this means, and how I can fix it. Thanks
Could someone please help me out I really need folder options to show up, and I cant make it appear Please, please help me out
