99% of my files play in WMP without any problem whatsoever. Occasionally I will come across a file that plays in superfast speed, if at all. The sound is a high pitched, garbled mess. This will lock up WMP and I will have to end program using the task manager.

The majority of the files use the xvid codec. I have the latest version of xvid. I am also using FFDshow.

I have made adjustments to the codecs. This led to further problems, but were resolved. Im pretty sure the file isnt damaged or corrupted, since it plays in VLC perfectly.

I have read the "read this first" posts, but am unable to find a solution.
