Forgot Hewlett Packard Setup (F1) password

    I forgot the password for Setup. Is there a way to reset or retreive the password that I set under Setup (F1)?

    errmmm.. what does this have to do with dvd drives?

    take the bios battery out overnight.. that should shift the password, if not you will likely have to reflash the bios XD

    Good Morning. I did not realize the my thread posted under the wrong caterory. So, Sorry. I have a Hewlett Packard a420n. The serial number is MXK40902M8, the system number is DQ175A-ABA. Can you tell me where the bios battery is please. Thank you for your help.
