    Hey

I have an old laptop with Win NT on it that I dont remember the password for so I looked on google and found a boot disk that can change the administrators password. I tried this and it looked to have worked but when I got to windows it hadn't.

So, Im looking for a way for getting to command prompt or a disk that will let me format the hard drive as the laptop does not have a cd-rom drive. If it had a cd-rom drive I could have used a restore pack but sadly it doesnt. (also if I put an external usb cd-rom drive in it wont recognise because its usb)

Does anyone know a way around this problem. I really dont care for what is on the laptop so I just want to format it.

    Thanks !

well if you have no cd drive formatting the drive isnt a great idea because you wont be able to reinstall an opertaing system.

are you completely sure you cant boot from a USB cd rom drive, go into the laptops bios and make sure USB legacy support is enabled
