Format utility

    I need a good freeware utility to format a hard drive. I need to be able to burn it and boot it froma disc and completely clear the drive

    All drive manufacturer's have DOS boot disks with their diagnostic programs on them, which includes formatting.

    try Ultimate Boot CD.contains everything you need to format your hdd for windows or linux.
