i'm kinda new at this sort of stuff and not too bright either so i will try my best at explaining this situation. I have a new hardrive that needs to be formated and/or given a drive letter. i'm planing on using it as in external drive by using a USB..(dont know the name) setup. Anyways, this works well but when i plug it in the pc via USB it doest appear on my computer, i guess this is because the hardrive isnt formated or anything. A friend of mine already recommended to give it a drive letter by going to accessories>>systemtools>>systeminfo but i dont know how to assign a letter from there. any help will be much appreciated. thx
go to Control panel, Administrative tools, computer management, disk management, and format from there also it will automatically assign a letter or if you like you can assign one.
