Does anyone know how to format a Sandisk 1GB Cruzer Micro 2????? I want to get rid of the annoying U3 Launchpad. I want to use it like my Sandisk 1GB Cruzer mini.
You should be able to format it just like any other disk. Right click in My Computer and select format. ~Rich
ddp--I tried deleting, it says "Cannot delete: Files on this CDRom are read only. You cannot copy or move files over to this CDROM." DoubleDwn--There are no format options. I tried to format under control panel, Performance and maintenance, Administrative tools, Computer management, Disk management, but the format option is not available. Anymore suggestions, I'm lost???
ddp---The manual doesn't have anything about formatting, and sandisks website has no info about formatting. This thing has a 8 mb partition on it, and I can't do anything with that part of the "stick". There is a program in that partition called u3 launchpad that comes up when you connect it to a computer. It's a annoying little program that I wanted to get rid of.
