    Hi all,

I am beginning to screen record ingame (world of warcraft) to let other guildies know how to defeat bosses and that sort of thing.

I use fraps for screen recording (full screen - in raw avi) wich works pretty good.
The problem here is that for about 10 min film i get 3 huge chunks of raw avi wich most programs cant even handle (tried Vdub and windows movie maker, both encounter an error)so i found TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 with DivX Authoring to transform the 10Gig raw avi's into a good quality divx file with size 120mb.

My question is what software to use to put in a nice music and maybe edit the 121mb divx movie a bit to put text in and stuff. I dont want the software to re-encode the .divx file again because i lose 2 much quality than.

Or does anybody know what software to use to put the music already in the raw large avi files (if that is a better method) i already used Pinnacle 11, Ulead movie stud 11 and windows movie maker, all 3 give a error on the large avi files.

So at the moment I use fraps to record raw avi screencapture, than use TMPGEnc DVD Author with Divx to make a small file from the big chunks. Last step I use Ulead movie studio 11 to add sound to the divx file but in this step the video gets re-encoded and i use quality.

If anyone knows a link to make high quality ingame screen records or has suggestions or what software i should use, i really would like to hear your suggestions.

    Thanks in advance

    Cheers ;p

i think you can easily add the audio without losing video quality with VirtualDub. you will have to use "Direct Stream Copy" for the video. Your audio needs to be in wav format( if is in mp3 there are many free audio converters).

    Hope it helps.

Don't know if it served the purpose or not, but it looks like that's what he needs...
