Free Cable?

    Ok I'm paying for cable internet. my cable line all the way from the pole to my tv is hooked up and doesn't have any type of filter on it. I can get about 4 cable stations and the others are real fuzzy. Do I need some sort of cable box (a descrambler of some sort) and do I have to get the same one as the cable company is using to get the channels to come in. It's weird because the last house I was in I just directly connected the cable and got free basic cable without a box.

    are you talking about illegal stealing of cable cause on this site thats a big no no
