my computer has a 130gb hard drive but its telling me i only have 30gb left on the HD. the only stuff i really have on my computer is about 40 gb of music/movies, so how do i figure out what else is taking up so much room so that i can delete the stuff for more space???
start going thru your folders on the hd to see which one(s) is using up the rest of the space. had to do that for a customer with a 40gig drive that had about 4 megs free. found a folder by hotbar full of shoppers reports. cleared about 34 gigs of spce. also use ccleaner from this link as have cleaned at most so far about 2gigs of crap out of windows. http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/download/9c776ba3dcb271f4e245b2562bffaa8c/
thanks for the link, but do you know any easy way to go though my HD? or am i going to put my curser on everything and see how big each folder is?
i use windows explorer to search thru my drives for info & that includes my flash drives & external hard drives.
ok, so ive got a question im going though my files and for one folder is says that it is 60gbs but when i go into the folder, highlight, and check the size, it says that its only 56gbs... why is there a 4gb gap there?!?
