a friend of mine asked me if i knew of any cd copy protection programs. i told him that there were many around but they arent free.
he then of course asked if there were any free ones. i've searched google for a couple hours and i couldnt find anything.
i'll take any anti-piracy program (not just an encrypter that asks for a password) even if it is practically useless- its not that hes mass producing, he just wants some extra protection in order to improve his profit.

The only thing your friend can really do is: 1. Use WinRAR and password-protect the files (I know you don't like passwords, but I'm giving you realistic options here) or 2. Use GnuPG to encrypt the files on the CD and give the key only to those to whom the CD is intended. Either way, the recipients will have to decrypt the contents of the CD to their hard drive, which may actually be less secure, depending on who your friend gives the CDs to.
