Hi all ... I'm running into a problem at the moment when trying to capture and record video in using my gigabyte 6600gt vivo card. I've tried an assortment of forceware drivers from 71.84 through 81.98 and various WDM drivers but all to the same effect.

I can view the video live without any problem but when I try and record it (using a number of applications, such as ChrisTV, WinDVR, etc) it records for a short time and then the program locks up. The o/s (win xp sp2) is still running ok, but I can't kill the prog through task manager and end up having to hard reboot.

Anyone run into the same sort of problem? I'm beginning to think this may be a codec problem rather than a video card/driver problem?

Try Disableing (Or enableing if it is allready disabled) "Overlay" in your Capture software also Try Disableing "Preview" while Captureing as this Might stop the Crashing problem....

    Good luck
