Friend Wants me to Flash Xbox360

Hey my friend wants me to flash his xbox for him today. Is it safe to have a flashed xbox at the moment if you just stay offline?

I am just wondering because I don't want to get his xbox banned.

Also one more question.

I have a flashed xbox and how long should I wait before getting online with live. I haven't connected to the internet in a long while and I was thinking of buying CODMW2 to play online or something.

PS: I played a couple games early such as halo, borderlands, red faction, etc.

 

There's no certainty to anything right now friend. It would be better to wait it out a bit longer until we have a clearer understanding of why consoles are being banned from Live...unless of course, your friend doesn't care about ever playing online...then flash away.

If you haven't connected in a while, keep it that way...that would be my approach anyways.

 

If he wants it done, and understands the risk, I'd do it and tell him not to come back to you if he can't go on Live.

I guess I'll just tell him to buy a banned xbox 360. They are really cheap on craigslist.

PS: So how long should I wait before I log onto live?

 

well im gonna wait till the ban wave looks over then leave it a week then log on and see if im banned lol.

 

I just flashed my console with ix 1.61 and am playing offline until ix LT comes out.

 

I would definitely wait for ixtreme lt to be released. It will save you a lot of headache re-flashing later on.
