Hi, I am going down to the USA in a few days, what are some good computer shops to go to? I think you pay alot less then we do in Canada.

well im not sure about computer shops, but retail stores like Best Buy and RadioShack are good electronic stores that sell things for computers.

Fry's Electronics is the best. Trust Me. If you are looking for computer parts then go there. Unfortunately they are not found everywhere like best buy. If you find one then you are in luck.

Circuitcity is better than Best Buy, so you can go there if you want. What would have been better would have been to order online and get it shipped to wherever you are staying in New York as you will find better prices online, but if you get them shipped to Canada the taxes will kill you.

Hide them from any import taxes, otherwise it'll be just as expensive. As someone from the UK, I've been very interested in the US prices too, but unless it's something small, the taxes are a joke.

    :D
It's because since I only have sporadic access to the internet (i.e. having to make a half hour trip to university to do so) I update all the threads I'm subscribed to at a similar time.

At 'home' I do, but I've just moved into a student house that as yet doesn't have a working phone line, hence no internet.

Ouch, dialup? Even DSL is slower than cable here, a LOT slower.
