from dvd to adobe premiere! how??

i had some old 8 mm home movies transfered to dvd.but i must convert the vob files to mpeg or avi to import into premiere. the home movies are on my pc now but i cant get them converted right. can anyone help? thanks alot!!

 

i used to convert alot of dvds to divx avi's way back when.

take a look at that article. i would rip the movie and then use Flaskmpeg to convert it to a divx avi file. once i did that, i was able to import the file into premiere.
