Can any tell me how one might get all of the Data off of one HDD to another new HDD? I have an older Toshiba laptop and am getting a HDD twice the size of my old one (40GB). I would really like to transfer all of my data to the new storage device. My Brain Does not have the capacity or education to decipher this one alone. I do have a desktop and think it might come in to play in transferring the data but the details are absent. Any help would be appreciated.

1.) 2.5" HDD to USB converter
2.) Plug in HDD to converter, then to laptop with larger drive (and OS) already installed
    3.) .......
    4.) PROFIT!

Thanks for the info. I think the best way would be for me to get a USB 2.0 2.5" HARD DISK DRIVE CASE and put my old HDD in it. That way I can still use it as an external storage device.
Thanks Jallan your post got me thinking about USB options.
