Ok before buying a new motherboard this weekend, i wanted to make sure it works 100%. Everything look pretty good, but one thing is still not clear to me. My front side bus right now is 400Mhz. Ont the motherboard,
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813139147
in the front side bus section says it supports 800Mhz/533Mhz fsb. Will it still work for me, or do i need to look for a different motherboard. My other friends said it would work, but i am still unsure.

Oh and one more thing, there isnt 6 channel audio like it says is there...how can you have 5.1 set-up with only 3 jacks???

    hi

when useing DDR ram double data rate 400 becomes DDR 800 !

the software for audio splits the signal into 7 different types and sends it out yes 3 jacks..

but will need the speakers to match it (cables)

RAM?? Thanks for the audio answer, but the first question was about my CPU's Front Side Bus. Does anybody know if this motherboard will work with my current 2.8 Celeron at 400Mhz FSB? the cpu type is supported, but not sure about the Front Side Bus. Thanks.

Everything with the cpu is fine, socket 478, I think its Celeron D, Im not sure about the front side bus tho. My cpu's front side bus is 400Mhz. On the motherboard description thing, it says it supports cpu's with 800/533Mhz front side bus speeds. will my 400Mhz front side bus proccesor work with the new motherboard???

Oh very nice, thats good. But I guess i wont be overclocking my 2.8 Celeron, because it only supports Celeron's up to 2.8Ghz. Lame. And thanks a whole bunch for the help Rotary!

hehe well, at least it has an 8X AGP slot and nice integrated video(up to 128MB). Yeah is shared video memory, but thats ok cause i got lots of Ram free and im getting a new Radeon 9600XT video card very soon. And as for the HD's, yeah its very unfortunate.
