We are having a very frustrating time with our ILO DVD+RW player/recorder. It does not read blank discs we have purchased recently (Memorex, Verbatim, Maxell) from stores like Office Depot- it starts to read them, then says "Preparing" and finally "Fail" and "Invalid Disc". We have verified the correct "speed" (4X), size (4.7), etc. I did notice that the discs are labelled as DVD Basic Format- would this have anything to do with the problem? We were able to use Memorex discs in the past, as well as Phillips discs, with no read/recording problems...HELP!! ANY assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Sounds to me like you're a good candidate for a firmware update .. I'm sure that the new media that is out now is not being properly recognized by your unit ..
