Hi I just downloaded a rip of Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. Ok I got a size of 1,459,978,228. I need 1,459,978,240. I cant seem to make FSTFIX v1.5f Wiped GCM Fixer by SlideR/LOONYCUBE work. I tried following the instructioned on modthatcube site but sadly I kept getting this message in CMD, "the system cannot find the path specified". Help?
The fstfix exe file and your image have to be located in the same place.For instance,let's say you have it on your C:\ drive just an example ok.The first thing you would do is go to start then go to run... type in cmd.It brings up the dos looking window,then just type in your main harddrive like this: Before: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner> After: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner>cd C:\ (note:hit enter and it will look like this) C:\> This is if you want to use the program on your image you want to resize on your main drive not placed in any folders except on your C:\,D:\,E:\ etc... drives.Where cd C:\ will change to your main drive if it is the C:\ drive might change for you not sure what your main drive you use is,it can be even more ellaborated.Let's say you have it on your Desktop in a folder called POP_Warrior_Within you would type this in as an example: Before: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner> After: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner>cd C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\POP_Warrior_Within (note:hit enter and it should look like this) C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\POP_Warrior_Within> An easier way of finding the location of the folder you are using is just by dragging and dropping it into the dos looking window.It will display the exact location,giving you more detail of what to type in.Once you have your location displayed,then you can type in fstfix.exe or whatever the full name of your program is called.Click on enter and it should bring up a command list of what it can do.Let me know if you understand up to this point alright and I can help you out more.Your location of either the fstfix program or your image file is wrong,just gotta put them both in the same place then tell it where it is located as I explained above.Hope this helps you out so far,if you need more help let me know ok.
Well I finally got to C:>\ part thank you. But now how do I fix the iso? The iso is located on my desktop by itself. Next to it is the FSTFIX.EXE file. I can't get the "fix s3-pop2.iso f" command i got from modthatcube to work. Maybe its wrong? Any ideas? Ok heres an update. I was fooling around with the CMD and this is what I got. C:\Documents and settings\Username>cd c:\ C:\ Ok here is where i drag the iso in off desktop. C:\"C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Desktop\s3-pop2.iso" C:\"C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Desktop\s3-pop2.iso" fix s3-pop2.iso f I used both f and c. (c because I thought the letter repersented the harddrive the file was on). But I keep recieving this error message. "C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Desktop\s3-pop2.iso The archive is either in unknown format or damaged. Any ideas as what to do?
Yeah you still have to type in the location from the desktop.Try this out alright type this in: When the menu comes up for you it looks like this right: C:\Documents and Settings\Username> What you will want to do is type this in,which will be the location of the iso on your desktop: C:\Documents and Settings\Username>cd C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Desktop After you type this in,just hit the enter button and you should have the location of your desktop.Which will look like this: C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Desktop> Once you get this shown using the CMD prompt,you must have the fstfix.exe file on your desktop and your ISO of the game.Just type in fstfix.exe or the name of the file like this: C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Desktop>fstfix.exe Then hit enter again,and it should bring up a list of commands you can use.It should look something like this with the commands: fstfix.exe v1.5 Wiped GCM Fixer by SlideR/LOONYCUBE! USAGE: fstfix.exe IMAGE.GCM [option] ... [F] = FULLSIZE :Output ISO. [G] = 3 GIGS SIZE :Output ISO. (May resolve *DISK ERROR READING*.) = STREAMFIX auto detection. (!BETA!). [T] = Force 32k align files. Example: FSTFIX image.gcm = ALIGN respecting Data And Streaming. FSTFIX image.gcm t = ALIGN 32k (Force all files on 32k) FSTFIX image.gcm f = ALIGN + FULLSIZE. FSTFIX image.gcm g = ALIGN + 3GIGASIZE. FSTFIX image.gcm s = ALIGN + STREAMFIX. FSTFIX image.gcm s f = ALIGN + STERAMFIX + FULLSIZE. FSTFIX image.gcm s g = ALIGN + STERAMFIX + 3GIGASIZE. Ok,now what you will want to do is use this command alright should look exactly like this: C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Desktop> This should be displayed first,if you don't have this displayed then it won't work.You must also have the fstfix.exe file and your image file on your desktop not placed in any folders also.Now type this in: C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Desktop>FSTFIX s3-pop2.iso t s f Just click the enter button and it should start creating your new image.This is using the option Align 32k + Streamfix + Fullsize .The full size option is what you need which will create the image around 1.35Gig in size plus some other features that are added to help make it boot better.I would suggest making a backup of the image you are attempting this on incase it doesn't fix it though.Hope this helps you out alright and good luck.
