I already have dtv with basic package. All I really want an fta receiver for is the ppv's. My question is would I be able to load the dtv bin on a pansat 2700a, unhook my dtv receiver, plug in my pansat and be able to watch my ppv. Then plug my dtv receiver back in and be all good or do I run a risk of being caught. I just figured since the sat is already aimed at dtv it should not be difficult to temp swap the receivers. Thanks.

FTA receivers and bin files will not work with DTV. They are designed to work with DN. Probably easier to get a used 2nd dish antenna and aim it at a DN sat for the PPV,HBO,Showtime, etc. Keep the DTV service as backup for when FTA goes down.

Thanks Jerry I thought there was a way to get dtv. Anyhow lets just say I switch to dn. Would the temp swap be possible or would I get caught.
