    Hello,

I am one of many who have problems FTPing, but even so I still need help. So far I have copied 2 games, but now it's not working for some reason. At first it just wouldn't copy (using flashfxp), but now it just won't connect. rrrg.

    Here are my IP address---
    xbox:

    STATIC-YES
    192.168.1.5
    255.255.255.0
    192.168.0.1

    PC-

    192.168.1.4
    255.255.255.0
    192.168.0.1

---No DNS for the pc, but just the default DNS on the xbox.

Anyone have any ideas on what to do? I've been fiddling with different static IPs, but nothing has worked. IT just won't connect. Firewall is off. Any ideas anyone?

    cheers,
    -Alex

Are you using a router? or are you directly connected to the PC and Xbox.
If it is directly connected are you using a reguler network cable or a crossover cable?

You need a crossover cable if your connected directly.

it's a direct connection with a crossover cable.

One strange thing is that when the xbox is on an the LAN network is connected, the Internet will not work (cable wirless connection). But when I turn the xbox off, and the lan conenction is diabled, the internet works.

Try these settings below on your Xbox and PC and see if they work.

    xbox:

    STATIC-YES
    192.168.0.102
    255.255.255.0
    192.168.0.1

    PC-

    192.168.0.100
    255.255.255.0
    192.168.0.1

Then enter 192.168.0.102 as the Xbox IP in FlashFXP make sure you have user name and password both xbox

I think the problem is your IPs have first 3 parts of 192.168.1 and your default gateway is 192.168.0 you need to have the IP 1 changed to 0 so the first 3 parts are the same.
