Alright so i have a problem Ftping to my xbox. I dont have any custom dashes installed but the SID 3.1 final one. (http://www.se7ensins.com/Tutorial%20Pics/AzzidSoftmod/SID4.JPG) Its not the knave one tho. I try to ftp using cute ftp and it keeps giving me a connection error. I have a crossover cable (im sure its a crossover cable) and i connected it dirrectly to the computer. I connect with the ip it shows on the screen and the username and password xbox with port 21. anyone know what im doing wrong? any helps appreciated. thnx in advance.
I finally figured it out after i posted this an hour went by. it was because i dindt have the computer set to connect to the xbox. (not sure what its called) But yea it works now. But i still got two more question. when i ftp i only see some of the drives and "f" is missing. i dont know why though. and is there anyway to install a new dash from a ftp? thnx
Installing dashes via FTP is fraught with danger as you need to change some of the coding! Simply use an AID disc to get what you want! As for your F:\, that's only available if you have an aftermarket larger HDD installed!
ok. So i just reinstalled xbox program another drive and resoftmodded it with the newest AID Seems to work good. Now i just need to know how to copy games in the dvd drive via ftp they auto play when i close the tray. Any way around this? Thnx chunkhead!
Autoplay should be a function of your dashboard! Check 'settings' Turn off the autoplay and it will allow you to make the transfer!
