I'm helping my friend Softmod his Xbox, we've gotten everything good so far, he has Evox on his Xbox, and everything seems to work. When we go to FTP, we get the IP from Evox (we ensured that Static is Off and DHCP is enabled) and put it into FlashFXP. When we go to connect, the connection times out. Does anyone know what the problem could be? If it helps to know, his computer is wirelessly connected to his comp. It goes: Xbox -> Router Router --Wireless Signal--> Receiver on Comp Tomorrow Im going to try using some more ethernet cable to actually wire the router to the computer if that could be the problem. But if you guys could help, that would be great, because once were done Modding his, were modding my Xbox.
If DHCP has been enabled on your PC, excepted by your router and enabled on your XBOX...it should be simple to FTP. The problem may be the wireless setup. Try connecting everything with an ethernet cable to your router and all should be good. I'm not saying that having your PC or XBOX wireless won't work but I know for a fact it works when using a cable. I am also having problems with that I use FlashFXP and it connects but after like 10 seconds it dissconnects.
